Hello guys you all heard the words like programme, planning etc. in every field we need progrmmes for various purposes like development, improvement, health programme ,awareness programme etc. so in this blog I will explain you guys about the programme ,programme planning .

What is a programme?

Programme is all about what you want do it’s contains all the details of proposed developmental activities, problems faced, the action and the resources required for it.

What is a plan?

Plan is an outline or plan of action for a programme, it answers to the questions like what, why, how and when as well as by whom and where the work is to be done.

What is development programme?

It’s a statement consists of situation, objectives, problems, strategies and solutions to the development problems and issues of the people or their community.

Steps in programme planning?

For a successful programme the following steps need to be taken .The entire process of programme planning can be divided broadly into 2 phases:

1. Programme planning

2. Programme Action (implementation)

Programme planing process

1. Initial phase of programme planning: one should be careful in this phase. From this phase only the programme will succeed. Under this phase we have the following stages:

A. collection of facts:  it’s a firsthand information collected which will consist the information like basic information of the people, living condition of the people, facilities and the problems or issues faced by them. It’s very important stage in programme planning.

B. Analysis of situation: Based on the facts collected we should analyze the situation based on facts and we should verify the facts.

C. Identification of problems: based on the facts collected and after analyzing the situation ,we should try to identify the problems in participation of the locals after that we should prioritized the problems as major and minor.

D. Determination of objectives: after identifying the problems we should formulate the objectives to achieve the goals i.e. solution to the problems. After discussing with expert in the field the objectives were formulated.

2. Programme implementation phase: its second phase were the paper work of first phase will be implemented in to reality .The following are the stages in this phase:

A. Development of plan of work: in this stage we will prepare the blue print of the programme it contains the details of where, when, who, how, whom will do the work and how we will achieve our goals.

B. Execution of plan: it’s the practical stage where we implement our plans into ground level. It’s very important stage with carefulness we should execute of plans.

C. Evaluation of the process: execution of plan was done now we should evaluate the process how much the programme is completed and in what time? Whether the resources were properly utilized or not? etc. Evaluation can be done during the programme (called concurrent evaluation) and after completion of work (summative evaluation). In some case in the beginning of process also evaluation is done (formative evaluation).

D. Reconsideration: Under this process the feedback from the locals will be collected and the good points as well as gaps/shortcomings will be discussed and if programme is continued or implanted   again the gaps or short comings will be considered for the improvements .Like this the cyclic programme planning process will be there.

We discussed the general process the same can be applied in field with slight modification according to the field’s requirements.
