Deemed Universities of ICAR

Deemed university is an accreditation awarded to higher educational institution in India, conferring the status of a university.  Doing M.Sc in Deemed Universities (DUs) and that in State Agriculture Universities (SAUs) makes lot of difference in terms of quality of education, Research, exposures, resources availability and fellowships to the students.

ICAR  is having four Deemed Universities as follows:

1) ICAR –National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Karnal, Haryana.

2) ICAR – Indian Agriculture Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi.

3) ICAR- Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Izatnagar, UP

4) ICAR – Central Institute on Fisheries Education (CIFE), Mumbai

1) ICAR- National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Karnal, Haryana.

It has been ranked NO.1 University for 3 consecutive years by the ICAR. For MSc under Agriculture, Dairy sciences and Veterinary sciences there were 16 courses available. Its unique blend of Agri, Dairy & veterinary departments. None of the universities were having this type of blending. When you get admission here an unique programme called orientation programme for more than one month will be there where you can show you talents in dancing, music, art, drama, sports etc.in no other universities you can find this type programme.

2)  ICAR – Indian Agriculture Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi.

It’s a India’s largest &foremost institute in the field of research & higher education and training in agricultural sciences.  ICAR Rank -02. For MSc 27 courses were available. Best institute for agricultural students. In IARI you can find your favorite food in your mess like south Indian, Karnataka, Maharashtra , North Indian etc.

3) ICAR- Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Izatnagar, UP

It’s a primer institute under veterinary sciences, research conducted in the areas of animal health and production with multidisciplinary approach has paid rich dividends. ICAR Rank -05. Offers M.V.Sc courses under different divisions

4) ICAR – Central Institute on Fisheries Education (CIFE), Mumbai

It’s a primer institute under Fishery sciences, mandate include higher fisheries education, research and extension. For M.F. Sc. 10 courses were available. ICAR Rank -35.

Advantages of pursuing Masters in Deemed universities:
